would like to share a powerful testimony of my miracle healing that happened at Holy Spirit Encounters Church that is impacting many lives and several communities. First I need to share a few key details prior to my injury that play a role in this story. 

 

On December 26, 2025, while visiting Jordan's family in Las Vegas, Jordan (my husband), Adaya (our baby), and I (Vanessa) got lunch with Apostle Philip and Prophetess Rose Peters, leaders of Holy Spirit Encounters Church. They shared about deliverance teaching by Robert Henderson that has blessed them. It turned out that Robert Henderson teaches monthly at Amazing Church in Colorado Springs and decided to go to the next teaching. They prayed a courts of heaven prayer over us at the end of the meal and we went on our way. 

 

That same evening, we discerned an oncoming spiritual attack in the neighborhood and around Jordan's parents home. We woke up suddenly and could sense a shift in the atmosphere, so we began to pray. We heard crashing, bottles breaking, and chaos. It turned out to be a flash mob party in an empty house in the neighborhood. When the police came, the intruders hopped the wall into our yard and refused to leave the property boundaries for a time. Thankfully, no damage was done to Jordan's parent’s home and the mob dispersed. We stayed up to pray until there was complete peace.

 

The next day, on December 27, a few hours before we were going to drive back to Denver, Jordan and I took our baby on a walk in his parents neighborhood. As we turned a corner, we heard a lot of noise coming from multiple different homes. Dogs were barking, someone was playing the drums, and again there was a shift in the atmosphere. Suddenly a Tibetan Mastiff came up from behind Jordan. It bit him in the leg twice then started to approach me and the baby. At this point, I started to run away with Adaya in her stroller. I tripped and fell and knew right away that I had injured myself too badly to get up, so I started screaming for help. In desperation, I screamed out “Jesus help!” and the dog stopped in its tracks. After that, Kevin, the man who was caring for the dog, came out of one of the houses and secured it then came to help and asked to pray over me. I joked with him that I guess I didn't need to share the gospel with him. It turned out Kevin is the leader of a church plant in Las Vegas called Emmaus Church. 

 

I took an ambulance to the hospital and was admitted to the ER. While I was in the ER, I was initially denied pain medication and the staff was skeptical about the severity of my injury. I could feel crunching if I moved my left leg but didn't know exactly what had happened to me. After I had X-rays done, the surgeon came to my bedside to tell me that he couldn't understand how he was seeing what he was seeing as my injury was only something that happens when you fall out of a second story building or get in a high impact car crash. My left hip had been shattered and my leg dislocated. I went into surgery just after midnight and Dr. Howard did a reconstructive surgery that required 3 months without any weight bearing. It's an injury that requires a significant amount of long term healing and physical therapy. He also noted that when he did the surgery, he found that my bones were unusually soft, making the long recovery time period even more imperative 

 

However, 10 days post-OP, my family went to a Wednesday night Holy Spirit Encounters service expectant for healing. During the prayer time, Aidien prayed for my healing and my hip simply went back into place and the pain went away! Then he had me sit down to check the alignment of my legs, which were uneven by about a half inch. He prayed again, and my legs, hip, and spine were all fully realigned! I was able to stand on it and take a few short steps. I could even jump on my right leg without any pain in my left leg and hip. He prophesied that in 3 days I would walk fully again without the walker. On day 3, after Saturday services he prayed once more over my hip and I was able to put the walker over my shoulder and walk out of church that day! I never used the walker again.

 

The Thursday after that, I had my first follow-up appointment with the surgeon. To our amazement, when we pulled up to his office we saw that the Emmaus Church ministry center was right next to Dr. Howard’s! We had been praying for him to have a soft heart and to receive the gospel, however that morning, he was called into emergency surgery. I was able to talk briefly with him on the phone just before my appointment, and he was surprised and concerned when I told him that I had been walking and had been healed by God. He ordered x-rays to assess any damage that may have been done. The X-ray technician was a believer and listened to my testimony of healing. That day, I saw the PA since Dr. Howard was absent. She couldn't deny that the healing had progressed beyond what she would normally expect. She checked my range of motion and considered physical therapy to be optional at that point. I told her that this healing was a miracle after being prayed over at a local church and that we would be back at the next follow up to prove it. 

 

Meanwhile, Jordan and I received more court of heaven prayers and deliverance especially over our finances and delay. We had been praying and searching for an affordable home in Denver for years. It seemed impossible in such an expensive city, but finally, a good home in a good area at a shockingly low price became available. We made an offer and began the process of buying a home.

 

On March 5, I had a second follow-up with Dr. Howard who was able to be present this time! Again, we were praying for him to have a soft heart to receive the gospel. I got X-rays again and the technician shared that his daughter would be getting baptized in 2 days. When Dr. Howard came into the room to assess the X-rays and speak with us, he started off by saying that he had always been careful not to have a “god complex”. He expressed that he wasn't closed off to the possibility of God intervening but hadn't experienced it himself. He explained that what should have happened when I walked 10 days post-OP was the bones and repairs in my hip should have come apart. Dr. Howard made it clear that this wasn't a case of a strong willpower and optimism from the patient but that with the kind of reconstructive surgery that I had, it would take a minimum of 10 weeks for the healthiest patients to bear weight without reinjury. 

 

That's when Dr. Howard shared something amazing with us. He explained that he had grown up Catholic but did not have a relationship with God. He came to a point in which he realized that he had truly mastered some things in life but that if anyone were to ask him about God or the Bible, he didn't know anything except for a few consistently repeated scriptures from his Catholic upbringing. 2 months before this appointment he had started listening to the audio Bible in one year… which would have been right before the accident. Jordan shared the Gospel with Dr. Howard and he listened to all that Jordan and I had to say. Even though he expressed that no further action is necessary, he would like to see me for one more follow-up. We are extremely excited to visit Dr Howard one more time and continue to witness the gospel and this undeniable healing miracle!

 

On March 13th, the day of closing on our new home, as we were walking up to our door, we saw that our neighbor had the courts of heaven book sitting in her window. We were in awe!

 

There are so many incredible ways that Jesus is touching lives through this testimony. It has truly been a sign to those who are seeking to know God and a confirmation that He is truly real, alive, active, and the same yesterday, today, and forever.
