ISAIAH 61:1

The Brick Yard
Modern Day Slavery
Today in Pakistan there are over 20,000 brick kilns across the country that used the forced labor of over 4.5 million people. The conditions they work under are extremely hazardous and they work for little to no pay. For most workers they are expected to produce 1,000 bricks per day for a pittance of 960 Rupees (about $6.00).
Often times entire families are placed under this indentured servitude to pay back a small debt, but quickly become trapped for generations behind the evil works of Brick Kiln owners.
In Pakistan, it is illegal to employ someone who is under 16 years of age. But almost 70 percent of bonded labourers in Pakistan are children, who make up over one-third of the four million or so people working at brick kilns in Pakistan. Often, they work all day and are denied education.

Holy Spirit Encounters Church is working with a local Pastor in Pakistan and we are fund raising to help set these Pakistani families free. The average cost to buy the freedom of one family is about $1,300 - $1,500. This may seem like a small amount of money to some of you, but to these people, it means freedom from a life of slavery.
If you feel led by God to contribute, we have set up a special donation link specifically for this cause. Below are some links and videos for you to learn more about the plight of these people. Thank you for your help, and God Bless You.
